This article explores various aspects of quantities and units, starting from basic quantities, derived quantities, to vector and scalar quantities. The discussion covers measurement topics, measurement techniques, units, international systems of units, and dimensions. The importance of quantities and units is not only as technical terminology, but as an integral component for measuring and conveying natural phenomena with precision. This article aims to provide comprehensive insight into the concept of quantity, from basic to complex, as well as applying this concept in measurement and scientific communication. Literature research methods are used to detail the main concepts of quantities and units. The results and discussion discuss types of quantities, basic quantities, derived quantities, and the role of the international system of units. The article also touches on measurements, dimensions, and research methods. In conclusion, a deep understanding of quantities and units provides a solid foundation for accurate measurement and effective communication in the physical sciences.
Vivian Nikadinata, Anisa Nur Aena, Atikah Anjani Oktafianti, Wahyu Kurniawati Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia https://jurnal.seaninstitute.or.id/index.php/jupei/article/view/406 Fri, 24 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Diving into the World of Sound and Light, Understanding Their Properties, Propagation and Uses https://jurnal.seaninstitute.or.id/index.php/jupei/article/view/405
The aim of this research is to introduce students to the basic concepts of sound and light during science learning. This abstract discusses the properties of sound, such as its source, propagation, and how the human ear receives sound. Apart from that, this abstract also discusses light as an energy source that allows us to see objects around us, including how the eye propagates and receives light. Once students understand these concepts, it is hoped that they will be able to understand between sound and light.Sound waves can modulate the amplitude and phase of light, bending it, focusing it, or shifting its frequency. Light can create visible acoustic images or provide detailed information about thermal vibrations in solids and liquids. Diffraction of light waves by sound waves takes several different forms, depending on the two wavelengths and the dimensions of the interaction region. Meanwhile, light is energy that has electromagnetic waves and can propagate in a vacuum. Sound can travel through solids, liquids and gases.
Shilvy Anggelia, Rahmawati Rahmawati, Adinda Setiawati, Wahyu Kurniawati Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia https://jurnal.seaninstitute.or.id/index.php/jupei/article/view/405 Sun, 26 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Influence of Problem Based Learning Model on Increasing Self-Esteem and Learning Outcomes of Students on Excretory System Material https://jurnal.seaninstitute.or.id/index.php/jupei/article/view/398
This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on increasing Self-Esteem and student learning outcomes in the excretory system material. In this study, there are two types of variables used. First, the independent variable is the level of student self-esteem, and the dependent variable is the learning outcomes of students. The study was conducted at MTS Al-Misbah located at Jalan Desa Cipadung No.22, Cibiru District, Bandung City, West Java. The population in this study were all students of class VIII MTS Al-Misbah consisting of two classes, namely class VIII A and VIII B with a total of 73 students. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. The learning outcomes of students using the PBL model produced an N-gain of 0.7 with a high category. In addition, the results of self-esteem after using the PBL model got a high category, this proves that the learning model can affect the level of student self-esteem. The application of PBL in an effort to improve students' self-esteem is one solution where with this model students are more involved in the learning process so that it can improve students' self-esteem and learning outcomes. So, from the two hypothesis tests it can be concluded that there is an influence of the PBL learning model on improving students' Self-Esteem and learning outcomes in the excretory system material.
Nazila Nur Laila, Tuti Kurniati, Iwan Ridwan Yusup Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia https://jurnal.seaninstitute.or.id/index.php/jupei/article/view/398 Tue, 28 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Determination of Gravitational Acceleration Using the Concept of Free Fall Motion https://jurnal.seaninstitute.or.id/index.php/jupei/article/view/403
This research discusses the method of determining gravitational acceleration through the concept of free fall motion. Using a theoretical approach, this research explains the basic principles of free fall motion proposed by Galileo Galilei and Isaac Newton. Through measuring the time of a free object falling from a certain height. Data analysis describes the relationship between fall time and distance, providing results that accurately approximate the value of Earth's gravitational acceleration. The conclusion of this article contributes to the understanding of basic physics concepts, as well as providing a practical method for determining gravitational acceleration using the principles of free fall motion.
Rifky Tri Wibowo, Maria Jennifer Del Amore Kolo, Anisa Nur Rahma, Wahyu Kurniawati Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia https://jurnal.seaninstitute.or.id/index.php/jupei/article/view/403 Mon, 27 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Performance Analysis of Simple Aircraft in Increasing Energy Efficiency https://jurnal.seaninstitute.or.id/index.php/jupei/article/view/404
This research aims to analyze the performance of simple aircraft in increasing energy efficiency. Simple airplanes are one example of a simple machine used to convert force into useful energy. In this study, we conducted a series of experiments to measure various factors that influence the efficiency of a simple aircraft, including tilt angle, arm length, and applied load. The results of this research provide important information about how we can improve the efficiency of simple aircraft and optimize energy use in everyday applications.
Ajeng Dafiq Muslichah, Thifan Arel Sabila, Ratna Widyawati, Wahyu Kurniawati Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia https://jurnal.seaninstitute.or.id/index.php/jupei/article/view/404 Mon, 27 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000
